INSPIRATION | KIDS TABLES

When children are on the guest list it would definitely be a great idea to have a few activities available to them to keep them busy. Making sure the kids are entertained will take some of the pressure off of the parents and will allow them to be able to have some fun as well. Having tables designated for the children specifically will create a great way for them to be able to play with each other and assure a great time for everyone. Below are some great table ideas to make your reception kid friendly.

VENUE HIGHLIGHT | THE NASHER

When in search of the perfect wedding venue, there's nothing better than walking into a space and realizing that floral, candles, and decor are just going to be icing on the cake. The venue itself needs NOTHING to be classy, modern, and unique.

The Nasher Sculpture Center is home to one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculptures in the world, the Raymond and Patsy Nasher Collection, featuring more than 300 masterpieces by Calder, Matisse, Picasso, Rodin, Serra and more. In addition, the building itself was designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano. Located in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, the Nasher Sculpture Center is a central, easily accessible location for an event but also provides the feeling of being hidden away from the hustle that is downtown Dallas.

For modern art lovers, having a wedding at the Nasher has additional benefits that come with the Brancusi Circle membership. The benefits of the Brancusi Circle include: free admission for four adults to the center, invitations to exhibition openings, invitations to guided exhibition tour, additional discounts and special offers from the Nasher Store and Nasher Cafe by Wolfgang Puck, invitations to domestic and international travel opportunities, and invitations to the annual Patron Dinner. These benefits last for the entire year!

In 2015, the Nasher announced that they would begin offering ceremonies as well as receptions. This is a game changer when planning a wedding anywhere near downtown Dallas. It makes is so much easier for your guests and allows them more time to enjoy the collection and garden.

Forget you  are in Dallas for just a moment and daydream about your classy romantic Nasher wedding!

BLOOM COLORFULLY | NO. 05

Hi friends! Today, we are sharing another installment of our Bloom Colorfully series!

One of the common dilemmas our flower brides usually have when we meet for the first time is finding a photo of a bouquet or centerpiece and loving it, but having no idea what flowers were used to create the design!

Well, fear not, because we are breaking down the ingredients used in some of favorite our arrangements! This will be the perfect tool to take with you when planning your wedding color palette or floral must-have list!

These bright + happy arrangements served as the centerpiece for Megan's Rainbow-Explosion Lisa Frank Inspired 27th Birthday Bash! We really wanted the florals to be super colorful with lots of big, ruffle-y blooms! That meant a ton of peonies, ranunculus, and garden roses for sure! Add in some cool graphic elements like the geranium leaves and shampoo ginger and these babies turned out larger than life!

Scroll down to see more images and the floral ingredients we used to create these happy + whimsical arrangements! And special thanks to Hilary from Shay & Olive for capturing them so beautifully!

TOP 5 | TABLESCAPES MUST-HAVES

1. TABLE GARLANDS
Garlands are such a pleasing visual effect to add to your décor. They're lush, plentiful and can really make long tables POP! Today we explore several ways that you can create a stunning magic carpet of blooms or greenery. You can work with a single color, a mix, or an ombre effect (which we love!), to make the florals at your event a real showstopper!

2. BALLOONS
If there is one easy way to add some whimsy and color to your wedding it would be balloons. Check out below at how beautifully you can create an innate sense of fun on your big day!

3. CANDLES
Candlelight is always the best lighting for your wedding day. That romantic glow is just perfect! By creating different levels of flame on your table décor will show how a little texture and variety can go a long way!

4. GEOMETRIC DECOR
If you are dreaming of a cool and clean lined wedding tablescape, geometric is the way to go! You'll be able to create a unique style that appeals to all of your guests!

5. TABLE LINENS
When deciding on décor for your tablescape, the decision for which linens you go with are just as important as the florals that sit on top on them. Linens elevate the look of an event by adding texture, color and an overall richness to the décor. From a sparkly sequin to a soft and feminine table topper like a lace overlay, we love them all! Choosing a great linen will help make the details of your wedding stand out!

What will your table look like?
